To learn more about the animal cell and its organelles, check out a collection of printable animal cell diagram in the following list. Use this animal cell diagram labeled as a referential study aid for your upcoming class activity or test. There are five animal cell diagrams to choose from. The first animal cell diagram below is colored and labeled. Click on the image to save or download.
You can observe in the animal cell diagram labeled above that organelles in an animal cell are suspended in a fluid called the cytoplasm. A cell membrane encloses the cytoplasm and all contents of the animal cell. The cell membrane also called the plasma membrane encloses the animal cell and its contents. It separates the inside of the cell from the outside. The cell membrane is mostly made up of special proteins and lipids.
Cytoplasm is mainly made up of water and protein material. The cytoplasm is the key site wherein all life processes occur. The cell nucleus is supposed to be the brain or the control center of the cell and thus one of the most important parts. Meanwhile, mitochondria are among the largest cell organelles, also known as the engine house of the cells.
There are also ribosomes which are small and spherical organelles. We also provided an unlabeled version of the diagram above in black and white. You can use the unlabeled version as a review aid or as part of a presentation or report. Just click on the image to download and save the diagrams!
