Add your reference in studying the back muscles, we have provided printable back muscle diagrams for you to download and print. These diagrams show major back muscle anatomy that you can study to understand the overview of the back muscle. Check out the diagram of back muscle anatomy in the first diagram below.
If you see on the provided back muscle diagram anatomy that we have above, the back anatomy includes the latissimus dorsi, trapezius, erector spinae, rhomboid, and the teres major. The back anatomy includes some of the most massive and functionally important muscles in the human body. The back muscles enable the body to stand up straight; support and protect the spine; and reach, pull and extend arms and torso. The image below shows all the major back muscles.
The latissimus dorsiare the largest and most well-known of all the back muscles. The lats are responsible for the body’s “V-taper” because of their protruding appearance under the armpit area and on the back of the ribs. The trapezius muscles are located between the shoulder and neck. Since they extend higher than the collarbone height, they are most noticeable from the frontal view; although they actually reach all the way down to the lower back region. The traps are quite a complex set of muscles. The erector spinae muscles line the spinal column from the lower to the upper back.
Studying through these diagrams is one alternative way to assess understanding of the back muscle anatomy. All of the diagrams provided above are free, so download and print the diagrams today!
