Discover free and printable labeled diagrams of an animal cell to help you study the structure of an animal cell! These animal cell diagrams depict the structures of an animal cell which will help you in your upcoming biology exam about the cell. Check out the following diagram of an animal cell to find out everything you need to know about the animal cell and its structure.
There are many parts in an animal cell’s structures. These cells are a typical eukaryotic cell with a membrane-bound nucleus with the presence of DNA inside the nucleus. If you notice on the diagram of the animal cell above, the cell is enclosed by a plasma membrane and containing a membrane-bound nucleus and organelles. The most important structures animal cells are shown in the diagrams below.
The animal cell is filled with a solution of water and nutrients to form a fluid called the cytoplasm. It contains the cytoskeleton; a network of protein filaments that reinforce the cell and hold all structures together. There are three main types of filaments: microfilaments, intermediate filaments, and microtubules. The components of animal cells are centrioles, cilia, and flagella, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, microfilaments, microtubules, mitochondria, nucleus, peroxisomes, plasma membrane, and ribosomes.
The thin plasma membrane surrounds the cell, separating its contents from the surroundings and controlling what enters and leaves the cell. Provided above are printable animal cell diagram to help you learn the organelles in an animal cell!
