A ray diagram is a representation of the possible paths light can take to get from one place to another. On the diagram, the rays are drawn for the incident ray and the reflected ray. Light travels in straight lines within a uniform medium. It also has a direction of travel which is often useful to indicate this with an arrow on your ray. A sharp real image is formed when all rays from one point on an object arrive at a unique point on the image.
